Love Is Respect

We offer confidential support for teens, young adults, and their loved ones seeking help, resources, or information related to healthy relationships and dating abuse in the US. We’re available by text (“LOVEIS” to 22522), call (866.331.9474), or live chat online.

No matter how you reach out to us, you’ll always receive one-on-one, real-time, confidential support.

Our advocates are trained on issues related to dating abuse and healthy relationships, as well as crisis intervention. When you contact us, we’ll listen to your situation, assess how you’re feeling in the moment, and help you identify what next steps may be best for you. This might include brainstorming a safety plan together or identifying local resources to further support you, whether it’s a service provider, legal resource, counselor, or survivor network to get in touch with.

If you don’t feel safe—or if you begin to notice any of the warning signs of abuse—it’s important you take the necessary steps to ensure your ongoing safety.

Contact us 24/7 to anonymously discuss your situation with an advocate and identify ways to reach a safer place.

Brave Movement Logo.png

We are a survivor-centered global movement.

Millions of children worldwide experience sexual violence. This threatens the safety and protection of all children and adolescents in our communities.

Childhood sexual violence remains a taboo and continues to affect individuals, families and communities globally. For many years, victims have been silenced, stigmatized, and shamed whilst perpetrators have been exempt from justice.

That changes now: sexual violence against children must be recognized worldwide as an unacceptable, preventable, and criminal act.

We are survivors of sexual violence with different backgrounds and experiences, and we share a common knowledge of what it’s like to feel alone, to be hidden, to live scared and to hold onto misplaced blame. We know what it is like to carry shame and are working to ensure that others do not experience this.

Through the Brave Movement, we are transforming our shame into a call for bold and transformative action.

For Parents & Caregivers

Be Your Kid's Safety Net

Parents and caregivers today need to be equipped to have conversations with their children about safety online, and they need to understand the unique risks when sexual exploration and technology mix. We’re here for that.

Kids today face a very different set of challenges. There’s a whole new landscape where a child’s relationship with technology and normal sexual development overlap, with a whole new set of experiences online. And they need your help to navigate it safely.
